Terms of Use
Last updated October 29, 2026
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Homebell for using gethomebell.com and the Homebell apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. By creating an account or using Homebell, you agree to them. Our Privacy page explains how we handle information.
Homebell
Homebell sends short daily practice for kids in Grades 4 to 8, following their school board’s calendar, with reminders, worksheets and progress reports for parents. Questions follow the Ontario curriculum. Homebell is practice to support learning at home; it isn’t tutoring, schoolwork from your kid’s teacher, or connected with any school board or the Ontario Ministry of Education.
Your account
•
A parent or guardian who is at least 18 creates and manages the account. You’re responsible for the kids you add and for how they use Homebell.
•
Keep your email account secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. Keep your family code, kids’ PINs and pairing codes within your family.
•
Give accurate information, such as each kid’s grade and school board, so practice fits.
Kids
Kids use Homebell only through the account you set up, on devices you pair or with the family code and a PIN. You can see their practice and remove their devices at any time.
Free trial
New families get a 7-day free trial. You don’t pay anything during the trial. To keep practice going after it, choose a plan. If you don’t, practice stops when the trial ends and nothing is charged.
Plans and billing
•
Plans are monthly subscriptions in Canadian dollars, plus any tax that applies. The price is shown before you subscribe.
•
On gethomebell.com, payment is taken by Stripe on the date shown in Plan and settings, then every month.
•
In the iPhone and iPad app, the plan is billed by Apple to your Apple ID and follows Apple’s terms. In the Android app, it is billed by Google Play and follows Google’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
•
One plan covers your family wherever you bought it, so you only need one subscription.
•
If we change a price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you. For app subscriptions, Apple or Google may also ask you to agree to the new price.
Pausing and cancelling
•
You can cancel any time. You keep Homebell until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you aren’t charged again.
•
Website plans: cancel or pause for 1, 2 or 3 months under Plan and settings.
•
App plans: cancel in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. Deleting your Homebell account doesn’t cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. If you choose to delete when the plan ends and it renews, we wait until the renewed month ends.
Refunds
Payments for a month that has started aren’t refunded, except where the law requires it or we decide otherwise. For a website payment, email hello@gethomebell.com and we’ll look at it fairly. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies.
Using Homebell fairly
•
Use Homebell for your own family. Don’t share an account between families or resell it.
•
Don’t copy the question bank, try to get around sign-in or payments, or interfere with the service.
•
The questions, worksheets, design and software belong to Homebell. Print worksheets for your own family’s use.
The service
We work to keep Homebell running and the questions correct, and we fix mistakes when we find them. Homebell is provided as it is, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, and we’ll tell you about changes that affect what you pay for.
Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Homebell isn’t responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be limited.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time under Plan and settings, either now or, if you have paid time left, when your plan ends. Deleting now cancels a website plan at once, without a refund for the rest of the month. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when we can.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email you before the change takes effect. Questions: hello@gethomebell.com.
